Sanding

Pre sand all of the parts With 100 to 120 grit sand paper sand all exposed surfaces smooth.

If you are hand sanding, this should take about 10 to 15 minutes.

If you have a power sander, this should take 3 to 5 minutes.

Please do not apply glue to any surface until the entire clock is dry assembled

Top Assembly - Dry Fit

Place the top with the bevel side up and place the clock upside down on the top.
Measure an equal distant amount on each side and mark the two screw holes with a pencil. Drill two 1/8 holes 3/8 of an inch deep. Be careful not to not to drill completely through the top.

To keep from drilling too deep, place a small piece of tap on the drill bit 3/8 of an inch from the end

Bottom Assembly - Dry Fit

Place the bottom with the bevel side up and place the clock right side up on the bottom. Measure an equal distant amount on each side and mark the two screw holes with a pencil. Drill two 1/8 holes 3/8 of an inch deep. Be careful not to not to drill completely through the bottom.
